This post is hilarious, so I have to share! Check out Top Ten Reasons for NOT Finishing The Brothers Karamazov by A Reader’s Respite – definitely got me laughing!
I enjoyed this book and didn’t have trouble with the names. It is some of the contemporary books that give me the ” I want to quit reading blues”.
One of them was written entirely in third person and nothing was interesting to me about the book so I quit that one.
Another had more violence than I could stomach.
Another had both history and fairytale in it then the line blurred between the two and I couldn’t tell which was which!
Ahh, must be a book that requires Cliff Notes. Love the reasons not to read it. Once I start a book, I feel compelled to finish it. Likewise I only write a book review on books I have read. Just a little issue with OCD here, but I am going to steer clear of the K. Bros. Thanks for the heads up! haha, Not me. I have absolutely no qualms whatsoever stopping a book if I don’t feel like finishing it. Sometimes I’ll write a “review” of them explaining why, but more often I haven’t gotten far enough in before it lost me.
hahahahahahahahahahahaha … ohmigoodness! That’s hilarious. I love it! That cover is seriously freaky, btw. I’ve never even been able to start it, but with the list of wonderful reasons NOT to read it, I don’t feel so “unliterary” anymore. ((Not that not-reading-select-classics has ever really bugged me anyway – I was a very bad English major, LOL ;) ))
Oh wow, I totally agree! Just looking at the book cover now gives me uncomfortable shudders… Shannon recently posted..Any Given Thursday
