This book is now packed ready for the move. But if I run out of those on my nightstand and open the box that has it, I will definitely read it first. The review sounds great. I won this one in a contest and have been getting postcards from her every once in a while. It is time that I read it.

I did look up Jane Porter because I thought it was entirely possible I read one of her novels and did not remember it. I found a book list that said she has written 30 books. This particular book did not sound too interesting to me but I will look for one of her books at my favorite thrift book store and see if I like her style of writing. One never knows.

Hit 'comment' too soon, lol ...

... Something about this kinda reminds of me "Sweet Home Alabama" with the whole 'leaving the small-town and going to the big city, then coming back and falling in love again' ... It'll be interesting to see if that sense develops or disappears when I actually read it :)

I do like the formulaic aspect of chick lit, so long as it's not the *exact* same story over and over again ((i.e. 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'Everyone Worth Knowing' are the exact same, just new names and a slightly different industry. I even quit reading them both at the same point in the novel)) ... This sounds like a really fun read, and I've def got it on the list. I love juxtapositions of country vs city and etc ... :)

I haven't read anything by Jane Porter before but I would definitely give this one a try. I am a little concerned that this will be like so many other books or movies with the same topic (I keep thinking of Hope Floats) but if it is written well and is entertaining then I would still enjoy it.
