I really admire you for giving shelter pets a home. We are considering getting a dog (maybe within the year?) and will definitely look at the shelters first. No cats at my house. I am kind of allergic to them and i have a parakeet I let fly around the house. I do have a beagle also. I am sure my husband would love to have a few cats. I admire the neighbors however and they do come into the yard to visit. i just can't be around them for very long. Good for you getting them from adoption programs. I have never purchased a pet from a store and never will-there are too many waiting adoption that need a good home.
