Our Pets
I went snap happy today and had to share some photos! Gucci (our main coon mix) loves to chill right by the TV for some reason lately. The little cat is Bella and Yoshi is our dog. All were adopted from local shelters. And the disclaimer that I just have to add….adopt, don’t shop!

I know you said it wasn’t intentional, but it sure is funny how they all look color coordinated. I really admire you for giving shelter pets a home. We are considering getting a dog (maybe within the year?) and will definitely look at the shelters first. I wish people treated their pets better and there wasn’t such a great need for shelters.

Love the way the animals are color coordinated and your bravery for having both a dog and cats. No cats at my house. I am kind of allergic to them and i have a parakeet I let fly around the house. I do have a beagle also. I am sure my husband would love to have a few cats. I admire the neighbors however and they do come into the yard to visit. i just can’t be around them for very long.
Also wanted to say I love your dog, he/she looks like a lot of fun.

Thanks for sharing them with us-I see you already answered my question if the black and white coloring was intentional. Good for you getting them from adoption programs. I have never purchased a pet from a store and never will-there are too many waiting adoption that need a good home. I love waking up to pets and coming home to them.
Awww…what sweet things! I don’t have any pets right now but grew up always having them and they can be such a joy…and so much fun to snuggle up with! Thanks for sharing!

Awww!!!! I love that your cats snuggle! Mine haven’t done that since Sarah was a little kitten. I also appreciate that your animals are all black & white, hehe … I have a tortie Maine Coone (Anne Shirley), and she LOVES watching tv — she’ll watch almost anything, from the Simpsons to Nature. But she hates Star Wars, lol …
You know, the black & white thing was never intentional and it’s funny how it just turned out this way! Gucci was our first cat and he was so scared when we first got him. He was not a stray since he was declawed, but his owners just dumped him at the pound. Bella we’ve had since she was a kitten and my sister fostered Bella, her 4 siblings and their mom. All went to good homes. And Yoshi we just got this last May – I was volunteering at a rescue event and saw him and he was just too sweet not to take home

Aww! What sweethearts!
We have three cats. The first was found abandoned by her mother when she was only two weeks old. Our second cat was rescued from a shelter when he was 2 months old, and our most recent little kitty was found abandoned with her sister in the park where I work. We took her and her sister in and kept her (another girl at work took her sister after I fixed her up).
I always encourage everyone to adopt!
