The world of banking and Wall Street is shrouded in plenty of mystery for most of us even without adding a top secret government conspiracy into the mix. It’s the perfect setting for a story of crime and intrigue in James Grippando’s book, Need You Now.

Patrick and Lilly, the main characters, meet seemingly by chance in the far away land of Singapore. They are brought together by their banking careers; when their relationship takes a dive, Patrick returns to the States to mend his wounded heart and move on with his life. But Lilly doesn’t stay out of his life for long. Patrick is shocked when he finds himself in the middle of a secret Wall Street operation, and then finds out that Lilly is somehow involved too.

The two of them come together to fight for their lives and unravel the mystery, but before long they realize they may not know each other as well as they thought they did. Will their personal skeletons in the closet destroy their relationship and compromise their life or death mission as well?

There were some really good twists in Need You Now that I didn’t see coming. The story kept me going, even though I often found myself a bit lost in the nuances of banking. I would recommend this book to fans of fast-paced mystery novels.
