We found a very large one (a yard long and thick)living for many years under our deck that we had removed. It was rotting away when we bought this house.
I cried when I realized that it had been eating the baby rabbits that lived under the deck.

I looked it up but still could not identify it from the way that it looked.

Outside of the snakes, since we have moved here, I have finally gotten used to the tree roaches that are so abundent here. They are as big as my thumb. But I am hoping that we never have a wild boar come in our backyard. There is a place near there that they gather. There are some very big lizards here but I got used to them in California.

I still plan on seeing the rain forests in Costa Rica but from what I have seen from the pictures, I feel safer than where she went.
