Welcome to Mailbox Monday! Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia at the Mailbox Monday blog.
I’ve been away for a week and returned to piles of books! Here are the books that made their way into my physical and digital mailboxes over the last two weeks:
[…] The Coyote Hunter of Aquidneck Island by James Conroy found at Luxury Reading. […]
The Witchfinder’s Sister? Enticing. I have always read Jeffrey Deaver although I am currently a few behind and enjoy his books. The Secret Room has been calling my name. Alright. All of them look good! Nice pile of books for sure. Enjoy!
I just read The Last Neanderthal and I really loved it! I highly recommend it. It is so interesting that so many people living today have Neanderthal DNA. It really makes you question the idea of primitive “cave men” and this story tackles it beautifully.
So many good covers.
The Secret Room looks good.
ENJOY your books and reading week.
Elizabeth Silver’s Reviews My Mailbox Monday
Reading The Secret Room by Sandra BlocI drawn in from fist pages.I loved Julia Fierrros first book this one has been getting rave reviews .
Enjoy this wonderful mailbox. Great books that are special and memorable.
BEARTOWN is on lots of best-of lists. But, even though Fredrick Backman has written a few acclaimed novels, I still haven’t read any of them. I have one, MY GRANDMOTHER TOLD ME TO TELL YOU SHE’S SORRY, in a to-read pile, and it’s been there a long time.
I think my problem is that Backman’s books are translatiions, and I don’t have good luck with translations, whether they’re translated from Swedish, German, etc. They just don’t grab me, even the great Russian novels. But I’ll try it eventually.
Wow, what a mailbox! The Gypsy Moth Summer and The Secret Room stand out to me.
My mailbox was full this week as well. Beneath a Scarlet Sky was one of the books. I’m reading Beartown now.
Goodbye, Vitamin sounds so interesting (and sad). Enjoy your reads!
Lots of good books in your haul. The Coyote Hunter of Aquidneck Island sounds particularly interesting. Happy Reading!
