Lilli Niles has not returned to her childhood home of White Head, Massachusetts since she was a teenager. But when her sister Bea calls, announcing that her husband Randall has died, Lilli believes that it is finally time to return home. It is time to face memories she has tried to ignore for years, and the sister from whom she is hiding a secret that could destroy what is left of their broken family.
Her Sister’s Shadow is the emotional debut novel from Katharine Britton, and it is a story that will draw you in and stay with you for days after you’ve read it. Flashbacks provide insight into Bea and Lilli’s tumultuous and competitive relationship, and describe the heartbreaking moments, including two unspeakable deaths, that shaped and shattered their family.
Once you’ve picked up Her Sister’s Shadow, you will not be able to put it down. My only complaint is that the novel simply ended too soon, as I would have liked to see where Lilli ended up after dealing with the pains of her past.
I have 1 copy of Her Sister’s Shadow to give away!
