I think the cover was a clue! I totally agree with the reviewer, this is no value to this book.
I probably wouldn't be able to get through it because of the language and sex but it without anything to redeem it, it seems like the author is trying to make money off of domestic violence and assualts on women which makes me cringe.

absolute degradation of women and demeaning to men as well who are being painted with the same brush! i abhor this attitude and these actions perpetrated against our women. appalling when we know the consequences of these perpetrators actions. having a girlfriend who has initiated an organization to help free women from human traffiking, i cannot tolerate this in reality, never mind bragging of it in book form and being published! this should be exposed for the trash it is.
i'm sorry you had to be exposed to this smut, Poppy.

This does not sound like my kind or reading , I normally don't censure what I'm reading, I'm pretty open to stong language or sexual situations when they are revelant for the story to move forward and to understand the characters better if that is their point of reference. However, it sounds as if this author and book is just using these phrases and descritions just for
not so much "shock value" but because they think it is interesting or that more people will pick
up the book if it is deemed "scandalous" just to see what exactly is inside, it does not sound like it would have to be included to help us understand the character or to move the story forward, I believe there could have been a better way in this case, therefore again this is not the book for me.

Wow I won't be checking this book out! While I am not necessarily against cursing and sexual descriptions in books I don't think it should be used as filler, laziness or to shock. Some wonderful books contain these elements but use them in a mature way as a learning model for the morals or storyline of the plot. This just sounds like smut.

Ugh ... throwing up a little in my mouth. Thanks for the head's up! Why do people really feel a need to write stuff like that? I s'pose there are those who read it ... but, seriously? Good writers, really good writers, don't need to stoop to such levels ... ((Sorry, a pet peeve is writers who make up for laziness or lack of story or what-have-you by tossing in lots of sex stuff "filler"))
