Donald McGrath, author of Feel Younger – Now!, discusses how poor nutrition and lack of exercise will age a person and become negative factors in a person’s life. Of course, we already know all about this mantra – eat right and get fit – and this book is not too different from many other books available on the topic.

McGrath promotes seven habits to better health and encourages the reader to make lifestyle changes for better living. Some of these habits are: play, sleep, exercise regularly and vigorously, eat good foods in proper amounts, and make a habit of developing better life habits.

Feel Younger – Now! has helpful tips that can give the reader a new perspective on being healthy overall. It offers “take away” advice, charts and tables on health related issues, bonus cut outs and website links for further reading. McGrath uses real life stories of people who have benefited from his healthy lifestyle plan. The reader can go into McGrath’s password protected websites and register to receive downloadable training videos and additional information.

I expected the book to be somehow different than every other book I have read on the topic. The author plugs other fitness items that can be bought separately from the book all too often; I thought this was unnecessary and a turn off for me. I can’t see how this book will be of a benefit to anyone already living a healthy lifestyle, watching food portions, etc. and the perspective offered is not any different than what has already been drilled into our heads.

I will say that for someone who has not read a book of this type before, it is as good a place to start as any on a path to understanding how important it is to live a healthier lifestyle and to begin the process today.
