Veteran Judge Hope Willis was only a child when her identical twin sister Felicity was taken from their bedroom. Now years later, Hope’s worst childhood nightmare is happening all over again. Krissy, Hope’s five year old daughter, has been kidnapped, taken by someone people say looks just like her. Desperate to save her child from her sister’s fate, Hope enlists the help of Casey’s unconventional team, Forensic Instincts.

With time running out, an ex-Navy Seal, a techno geek, a former FBI agent, a clairvoyant and a former behaviorist, will do whatever it takes to solve Krissy’s case. Combining resources with the FBI and local law enforcement, Casey must go beyond the limits of the law to find Krissy before it is too late.

The mirrored image of Krissy’s disappearance to Felicity’s will pull on your heart strings while leaving you frantic, pushing you to piece together this fractured puzzle.

A kidnapping never solved. A secret affair. Unlimited enemies. A twin vanished into thin air. When the kidnapper turns out to be the person Hope least expects, can Casey piece the past together to save Krissy? The emotion that emotes from each character in the book really shows the depth and dimension Ms. Kane put into her characters, and further contributes to the easy flow of the plot. The Girl Who Disappeared Twice provides us with tiny tid-bits of personal detail by continuously fueling the methodical cat and mouse game being played by the main characters.

A winding path full of intrigue and mystery will bring you to an extraordinary ending in this gripping thriller that will leave you wanting more. The Girl Who Disappeared Twice is a tantalizing read, a shining example that proves that sometimes the past will come back to haunt you.
