Right before her best friend’s wedding, Meg is determined to ensure that her friend is in fact marrying the right guy. Ted is perfect – a little too perfect, as far as Meg is concerned, and she’d rather take the heat for breaking up the wedding than see her BFF in a marriage that is all wrong for her. Little does she know that it will leave her homeless, broke, and working as a maid while trying to avoid the furious tight-knit town residents, including the jilted groom.

Call Me Irresistible is classic Susan Elizabeth Phillips brilliance. It’s impossible not to fall in love with her characters and root for them to the very end. Meg and Ted have a brilliant depth to them that left me thinking about them for days after I put down the book. Meg is the messy, irresponsible counterpart to Ted’s perfection and their rollercoaster ride is fun and entertaining from the very beginning, with tears among the laughter, sex, and yelling.
