This one sounds too fluffy for me! If it was on TV, I would probably change channels!

sounds way too confused for an easy beach read! frustration is not what you want to find when all you want to do is enter and follow an attention gripping story ") even the cover is confused - a lipstick tube when it's referring to mascara? yikes! some poor publisher planning here....

A female spy agency disguised as a makeup company? Don't think I will be picking this one up! Sounds just a little too silly for me :). Then again, that might just be because I tend to go for heavier, historical fiction books this time of year. Maybe I will readdress the book next summer.

This sounds absolutely hilarious! With the critiques of structure and chronology, I don't this is a "MUST READ"-read, but it can be stuck on the "if I need a fluffy funny book for a trip", for the right time.

I agree on the Mary Kay/Carrie Mae bit -- it struck me immediately too. And then I started thinking about my aunt, who is a National Director in MK, and got rather tickled at the idea of her as an international spy, haha ... :)

I was hooked on this review in the first paragraph, when Nikii agrees to be the pretend wife. Then when Mary Kay (excuse me, Carrie Mae) is exposed as a top secret spy organization I was sold. Send me a jar of night creme and a exploding eyeliner, I will be ready to help the cause.

Sadly, another potentially good read suffering from a lack of good editing I believe. So I won't be reading this one, but love the idea just the same. Thanks for the review!

I think "fluffy chick-lit spy novel" must be a new genre that I haven't heard of! I laughed a little bit when I read the title of the company: is Carrie Mae a thinly disguised reference to Mary Kay? It seem the criticisms from the reviewer outweigh the positives, which means this one won't be making my list.
