Most Prolific/Creative Contributor Award!
As promised, on the 10th of every month, I give away a book of their choice to the most creative/prolific contributor to Luxury Reading!
This month, 3 readers were head to head…but the prize (for many months in a row) goes to…
Colleen Turner!
Kudos to RivkaBelle, Esme, Kelly H. and Tea for your great comments!
Kudos to RivkaBelle, Esme, Kelly H. and Tea for your great comments!
Please post a comment here with your book selection!
The contest is starting over today, and I will pick a new winner on the 10th of September. There is no limit to how many times you can win.
Remember, frequency of commenting counts, but so does the quality – a creative and relevant comment will get you more points than something like “sounds great”. Every month, I will pick a winner and post their name, as well as send them an e-mail. The winner can pick any paperback or hardcover book that is available on Amazon.com.

Congrats Colleen!
I would think that too many comments might start to get in the way of the blog master’s life.
Congratz to everyone who won this award!! I will start commenting more from now on. But I am really fogetful ..lol
Thanks for answering Vera. Actually, I am not sure that I have ever left more than one or two comments here on your great blog before so I know I didn’t deserve to win! So I am okay with Colleen winning also.
I have a blog that I started this year and I am still trying to find my niche in the blogosphere. I like looking at your blog because it has a lot going on that I can gleam ideas from.

Sharon,
I keep finding myself doing such very ‘different’ reviews than most of what I see, but from what I gather – there are really all kinds … Gleaning ideas & inspiration is a great learning tool though, in my book
I’m in the process of ‘creating’ my blogspace too … I’ve had blog(s) for YEARS, but this summer have really been trying to make this one more of a book-blog – like the ones I love, like this one
I looked at your blog RivkaBelle and I like it. I like the Austen challenge and I like the way you tell how you acquired the book. Your book blog looks great. I added myself to your subscribers.

Thanks, Sharon!
Yours is pretty fun — I know a girl who would absolutely flip over your content/them, I’ll have to pass it along …
Thanks Rivka! I appreciate the visit!

Congratulations Colleen! Well I’m just going to have to put on my very best ‘cute & creative comment’ hat!
Should Colleen really be winning every month? Perhaps she might be receiving an unfair bias toward always being the winner? How should one handle the same person winning repeatedly? I wonder…
Hey Sharon! If you go through the posts over the previous months, you’ll see that Colleen’s comments are everywhere, are well thought out and relevant to the post. I don’t want to prevent someone from winning just because they won the previous month. I’d love to give a book away to a different reader every month, but so far Colleen has well deserved every win.

Yes, I see that Colleen’s comments are everywhere. It is always nice to have readers who actively engage with the blog. I can see why she is so well appreciated.
Congrats Colleen. Enjoy!
Congrats to Colleen.
So close … but Colleen is a reigning champ! Kudos!
Will have to keep commenting away, give her a run for her money
Thanks guys! This is the only blog I have found that rewards the followers for just being devoted followers…it is just awesome! Bring on the competition
! Alright, I think I will go with The Queen’s Governess by Karen Harper (http://www.amazon.com/Queens-Governess-Karen-Harper/dp/0399156186/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I27EY92SFDRK4O&colid=3GEPZYLMQLO2Q). I am getting my fall/winter TBR pile ready and am really feeling the historical fiction. Thanks again, Vera, this is always so exciting!!!
Yeah, I haven’t found any other reward-system like this anywhere else
It’s super fun!
Your selection looks like an interesting choice Colleen. Years ago, the movie ‘Anne of a Thousand Days’ got me hooked on Henry VIII and his six wives. I devoured movies and books on the era. I even went to England and visited Anne’s childhood home, Heaver Castle. It is a fascinating place with a moat and dark castle rooms. Henry gave Anne’s family home to another of his wive’s (I believe Anne of Cleves) after he had his wife beheaded. What a snake he was!
I would think being part of the court of Henry VIII would give an individual a great deal to be afraid of.

Would love to see more of your comments Jen! Someone needs to give Colleen some competition
Although RivkaBelle and Esme did an awesome job this month!
I didn’t even realize you could now respond to each comment like this – very nice! See how terribly out of the loop I am?

Sometimes there are just too many things to keep up with Jen! I feel out of the loop very often
