Naamah’s Blessing by Jacqueline Carey

The book that stood out most for me the most was Jacqueline Carey’s Naamah’s Blessing. I’ve been a huge fan of Carey’s since her debut with Kushiel’s Dart. While my favorite of her work remains that first book–Phédre is such a compelling character–the world Carey created remains fresh and exciting with each visit. It’s a pleasure to read an author’s ninth book and be as entranced as ever by the style, characters, and setting.
